Content For each destination, GSL offers the choice of between two and five golf courses, training centres approved by the PGA and fully equipped practice areas. Between 4 and 6 hours of teaching is provided per week, covering: swing technique, putting, pitching, chipping, bunker recovery and more. Each student has individual mini-sessions with an instructor to enable him/her to benefit fully from the course. Our teachers help students find a suitable rhythm of play, and offer them the means to make real progress. We promote the practice of golf on high quality courses and expect our students to be dressed appropriately (any player not complying with this rule will be refused access to the golf course).
In Birmingham You will have access to the best the area can offer: four golf courses, including Moseley, Edgbaston and Gay-Hill, all over a hundred years old!
The Belfry We have been working with The Belfry since 2006 (www.thebelfry.com). Students from beginner level up to those with a handicap of 15 are registered with the academy. Each week they will have access to two golf courses (9 or 18 holes) and three intensive sessions with pros. For players at a higher level, three 18-hole rounds on first class golf courses are provided, together with two sessions with the “golf surgeons” from the “Spencer Edwards Academy”.
The intensive golf formula In addition to the basic programme, students have access to an additional golf course (9 or 18 holes) each morning, and have two sessions with professional instructors instead of English lessons. Access to certain golf courses requires a maximum handicap of 25.
